Preschool Program
The ASSERT program at Utah State University is a state-of-the-art preschool
program that uses research-based instructional techniques to address the
individual needs of children with autism.

Serves children with autism ages 3 - 5

Operates 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 12:00pm

Located in the Center for Persons with Disabilities (CPD) at Utah State
University

Individualized educational and behavioral programs for each student

Specific, measurable outcomes in each need area

Parent &
Family Involvement
Family
support is critical to the success of the program. Parents have the
opportunity to be involved in the program on multiple levels:

involvement in intake assessment

parent training seminars

observation and training

Home visits
by team leader twice per month

Daily
communication via notebook exchange

Monthly
data-based reports of child progress
