Education Leadership Emphasis With Concurrent MASTERS

 
The Master of Education and concurrent Education Leadership Emphasis degree program is designed for individuals pursuing administrative or supervisory positions in the public school system. The program combines the special education focus on refining school practices in terms of instruction and management practices, legal requirements, and professional collaboration with the knowledge and competencies of the Administrative/Supervisory Certificate Program.
 
Admission Procedure for Master's plus Licensure
 
  1. Apply to the Graduate School for admission to the Special Education Master's program.
  2. Receive a letter from the Graduate School accepting you to the Master's program.
  3. Apply to the Administrative/Supervisory License Program.
     
 
1. Departmental Core (15 credits)

All master's students must complete the following five courses or their equivalent:

SpEd 6020: Design and Evaluation of Effective Instruction (3)
SpEd 6300: Collaboration Skills for Classroom Teachers (3)
SpEd 6700: Single-Subject Research Methods and Designs (3)
SpEd 6060: Historical and Legal Foundations of Special Education (3)
SpEd 6720: Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis (3)
