Dr. Salzberg was a professor of special education and psychology at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University from 1972-1982 and from 1982-2014 at Utah State University. He served as Department Head from 1990-2003. Dr. Salzberg's research and scholarship concentrated in the areas of employment preparation and related social skills, postsecondary education for students with disabilities, preparation of special education teachers, and in applied behavior analysis.
Dr. Salzberg retired January 1, 2015 but continues to teach the orientation seminar for beginning doctoral students (SpEd 7920: Disability Disciplines Doctoral Program Professional Seminar) offered each fall semester. He also continues to participate on committees for the Teacher Education Division of the Council for Exceptional Children.
