Disability Disciplines Doctoral Program

The Disability Disciplines Doctoral Program is a Ph.D. program focused on preparing leadership personnel for positions as university faculty and related roles.

The program’s mission is to produce university faculty who provide leadership to disability-related fields by producing new knowledge through research and disseminate effective practices through writing, teaching, and supervision.

Students gain competence in each skill-set that is critical for successful university faculty through a blend of formal coursework, seminars, and extensive collaboration with faculty. These experiences prepare graduates for successful research, writing, professional presentations, college teaching, supervision of trainees, and grant writing.

The Disability Disciplines Doctoral Program includes four specializations: special education, applied behavior analysis, rehabilitation counseling, and disabilities studies.
