Rachel is from Ucon, Idaho and is the sixth of eight children. She is a dual major in elementary and special education. Rachel enjoys life and believes that it is important to live it to the fullest. She loves to be involved in school, and in many extra curricular activities. She would like to thank the Hillyard Family for this scholarship. It is greatly appreciated.

Joseph Steven Meyrick Memorial Scholarship
Established by Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Meyrick in honor of their son, Joseph. This scholarship is for a Special Education major who has a disability or someone with a disability in his/her family.
Colleen Jensen
Colleen Jensen
Colleen has raised six children, and has six beautiful grandchildren. She has worked in a high risk elementary school in the Salt Lake City School District for the past eight years. She has had the opportunity to work with children of many different cultures and academic ability levels including those with special needs. She also works as a substitute teacher during her breaks at work. She went back to school to earn her degree about 3 years ago. She first attended Salt Lake Community College and then transferred to Utah State where she maintains fulltime status while attending evening classes. She would like to sincerely thank the Meyrick family for their generosity in helping her complete her degree in Special Education.

Leslie Goldman is a dual major in Elementary Education and Special Education with an emphasis in mild/moderate. Leslie is from Maryland and she has been married for almost two years. She is currently working at Convergys and is looking forward to doing her student teaching in the fall. Leslie is very thankful for the opportunity she has had to get an education. She looks forward to teaching and making a difference in the lives of the many children she will teach one day. She would personally like to thank the Kline Family for this scholarship.

Melissa is a dual major in Elementary Education and Special Education with an emphasis in severe. She loves children and she loves to help them learn about the world around them. Cami Clark
Cami is from Sandy, Utah. She is a special education major with an emphasis in mild/moderate. She just became engaged to Nick Gillen and will be married on June 29, 2002. Cami will be student teaching in the fall and hopes to teach in the Salt Lake City area or in Provo following her student teaching.

"A" Pin Awards
The "A" Pin Award is in recognition of distinguished academic excellence at Utah State University. It is one of the oldest scholarship programs at Utah State and requires the recipient to have earned 15 hours of straight "A" grade point average for three consecutive quarters or two semesters.
