Education with Mild/Moderate Emphasis and Special Education
with Early Childhood Emphasis: Prepares teachers
to work with students (kindergarten through twelfth
grade) with high incidence disabilities such as learning
disabilities, behavior and emotional disorders, mild
mental retardation and communication disorders. Also
prepares teachers to work with children from birth through
five years of age with mild to severe disabilities.
Special
Education with Severe Emphasis and Special Education

to work with students (kindergarten through twelfth
grade) with low incidence intellectual and physical
disabilities such as severe mental retardation, autism,
traumatic and acquired brain injury, and multiple disabilities.
Also prepares teachers to work with children from birth
through five years of age with mild to severe disabilities.

Education: Prepares teachers to work with students
(kindergarten through twelfth grade) with high incidence

in a regular elementary school classroom first through
sixth grade.

(seventh through twelve grades).
